It’s the season of spring and new beginnings. Just like newborn animals and the tender shoots of new plants, new beginnings mean being fragile and vulnerable and yet, they spring hope eternal of what will be.
But maybe March finds you in what still feels like the winter season of your life. Are you facing the beginning stages of divorce, and you feel a blizzard coming? Do you feel snowed in by a messy divorce that seems it will never end? Or maybe, your divorce has just become final and you are feeling a bit helpless as you face your new life single again, maybe even a single parent for the first time.
No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn ~ Hal Borland
This month’s issue is designed to help our readers in whatever stage of divorce they may find themselves. March may have come “in like a lion” in your life, but with the right tools you can see it go “out like a lamb.” We also want to wish a Happy National Single Parents Day, March 21st, to all of you amazing moms and dads who are successfully raising happy, healthy children without a life partner.
You do not have to be alone. Build for yourself a personal support system of friends and professionals that can help you dig a path through what may seem like a never-ending winter season of your life, so you can welcome your new beginning, even if it isn’t the one you chose for yourself.
